The Paramedic Shop is trialling a textbook buyback scheme for ANZCP members who originally purchased their textbooks from the Paramedic Shop.
The Paramedic Shop will buy back your pre-loved student textbooks in return for a Paramedic Shop credit note that can be used for future purchases at the Paramedic Shop.
How it works:
The Paramedic Shop will only buy back selected textbooks (i.e. one’s that continue to be used by the universities and have a value in re-selling)
Before each semester the Paramedic Shop will send out a list of textbooks that we are willing to buy back from ANZCP members only.
There will be limits of how many of each textbook we are willing to buy back; once we reach our limit we reserve the right to refuse to buy back further textbooks. We will hold a reserve list of students interested in selling back their textbooks once we reach our initial limit.
We’ll give you up to 40% of the original sale price of the textbook as a credit for future purchases at the Paramedic Shop
The buy back amount is fixed and only textbooks we feel we can re-sell will be accepted – so make sure you treat your textbooks well!
Initially, buy back is only available for textbooks returned in person to the Paramedic Shop in Sydney.
The original, new textbook must have been purchased from the Paramedic Shop. Proof of purchase may be requested.
This scheme is only open to current ANZCP members – just another benefit of being a member of the College.
The Paramedic Shop does not guarantee to buy back all textbooks.
Universities from time to time change their prescribed course textbooks or update to a new edition – this would mean the textbooks you had bought might have no value in re-selling and will not be part of buy back in the future
Online access cards cannot be returned and re-sold. This will be reflected in the price we are willing to pay for those textbooks with online access cards.
Textbook Condition Note:
Clean and good condition – this would see the textbook returned with clean and unmarked pages. It is accepted that the textbook has been used and will be showing some signs of wear (but no tear!) but will be in a good condition
Marked and good condition – this would see the textbook returned with highlighted text and margin notes on pages. We see this as a possible enhancement to the next owner – letting you pass on some understanding that will help them with their study – the textbook still needs to be in good condition. It is accepted that the textbook has been used and will be showing some signs of wear (but no tear!)
We will buy back two types of textbook conditions
Textbooks for Semester 1, 2017
The following list is the textbooks we are willing to buy back and the amount of credit we will give for each textbook. Ideally we would want to have the stock of textbooks by the start of O-week – mid February.
Once we reach the required number to buy back, we will hold a reserve list of students who want to sell their textbook back, and we will contact you if demand requires more textbooks.
Depending on the success of this initial trial we will consider second year textbooks.
